Understand the merge tags

When you are drafting an email or mail template from the "Tempaltes" section of the reporting page you might want to include some "merge tags" to make your templates a little more personable and friendly. Here is a quick outline of how some of them work.

Date : Current date

Full Name : Recipients full name (John Doe)

First Name (nickname if any) : Will use a nickname If present on the profile or firstname if not (Jim Jones) or (James Jones) if nickname not present

First Name Only : Will always use the first name (John)

Address : Will display the recipients address in block format

Policy List : Will list all active and pending policies on recipients account (company name, plan name, effective date, product type, premium)

New/Updated policy status: Use this if you want to display policy data for a triggered automation. For example: if you have an automation trigger set up to email a client when a policy goes from Pending to Active. This merge tag will insert that policies "status" in the tempalte.

New/Updated policy company: (same as above)

New/Updated policy effective: (same as above)

Newest policy company name: Will display the policy company name of the newest policy on the recipients account. The policy effective data is used for this calculation.

Newest policy effective: (same as above)

Newest policy premium : (same as above)

Newest policy number: (same as above)

Newest policy benefits: (same as above)

PCP name: Will insert the name of the PCP on recipients account

PCP facility name: Will insert the facility name of the PCP

PCP phone number: Will insert the phone number of the PCP

PCP address: Will insert the address of the PCP

Letter Signature: Will insert the "Letter signature" you have set up in your settings page. USE THIS ONLY FOR LETTER TEMPLATES. Click HERE for info in setting up your letter signature.

Email Signature: Will insert the "Email signature" you have set up in your settings page. USE THIS ONLY FOR EMAIL TEMPLATES. Click HERE for info on setting up your email signature

Portal Invite: Will include the unique URL for the recipient to access their client portal.

My first name, last name, company name, email address, phone number: Will insert your information into the template,
