Prospect vs Lead
This article provides an overview of the various baseline statuses and lead designations within the MedicareProCRM system. Understanding these classifications is essential for effective client management and streamlined operations.
Baseline Statuses in CRM
In the MedicareProCRM, each profile can have one of several baseline statuses, including:
Active Client: A client currently engaged with your services.
Inactive Client: A client who has previously engaged but is not currently active.
Prospect: Any individual classified as a non-client.
It is important to note that a "Prospect" is simply defined as anyone who is not currently a client, regardless of their potential for future engagement.
Understanding Leads in CRM
A "Lead" in the MedicareProCRM is an additional designation that can be applied on top of the baseline status. The primary function of the "Lead" designation is to ensure that individuals appear on your designated "Leads" page for easier management. This designation does not alter the individual's baseline status.
Managing Prospects as Leads
Typically, you would want to mark your prospects as "Leads" so they are visible on your Leads page. This facilitates efficient tracking and management of potential clients. If, at any point, you determine that a prospect is unlikely to result in a sale, you can easily remove the "Lead" designation. Once removed, the individual will no longer appear on your Leads page, but their profile will remain in your database. You will need to search for them to access their profile page.
Assigning Lead Status to Active Clients
It is also possible to assign a lead status to an "Active Client" if desired. This action does not change their baseline status; it merely allows them to appear on your Leads page, providing additional flexibility in managing your client relationships.
